The Mediterranean Diet

The Mediterranean Diet has been touted as a way to lose weight, be healthy, reverse health problems and even live longer.

Perhaps, best of all, though, Mediterranean Diet recipes are delicious and easy to make. This is because the Mediterranean Diet really is not a “diet” at all, at least not in the way that we normally think of them — full of deprivation and hardship, wanting better tasting foods but grimly sticking to what we have to eat because it is “necessary.”

Rather than a restrictive diet, the Mediterranean “Diet” is actually a way of life that incorporates healthy, delicious foods in adequate portions to satisfy hunger and boost energy. In fact, many people say that the Mediterranean Diet is so delicious that they follow it because of the recipes, not just because the diet itself is healthy.

It sounds effortless, doesn’t it? It is! There is one slight caveat though. Sometimes, the Mediterranean Diet recipes have to be adjusted depending on your geographic location – the Mediterranean Diet of course is itself based upon the food sources found in the Mediterranean area. This means that if you live in Birmingham, for example, you may not be able to find all of the foods necessary to follow the diet to its exact specifications.

For this reason, many modifications have been produced to adjust the Mediterranean Diet to use foods that are easily available in your area.

Restaurants are now jumping on the Mediterranean scene with specialty menus. There are even whole restaurants embracing the Mediterranean Diet. Weddings and other special occasions are also starting to use foods based on Mediterranean Diet. The one common factor is that these recipes are healthy and delicious.

One of the things that the Mediterranean Diet focuses on is monounsaturated fats like olive oil. In addition, other components of the Mediterranean Diet support heart health and reduce the incidence of diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, ulcers and arteriosclerosis. Because this is a “diet” that is literally centuries old, it has got a lot of evidence to back it up as a healthy diet that keeps people fit and healthy well into their 80s, 90s and even beyond.

This realistic food plan is not going to cost you any more than your normal grocery bill. In fact, it may even cost you less as it does not support the use of crisps, sweets or other unhealthy foods. However, you are not going to want these things after you have been on the “diet” for a short period of time. Not only will your hunger be satisfied, but you will also see yourself losing weight. In fact, you will feel so good that you won’t want to go back to you old eating habits.

The Mediterranean Diet ebook (which is a book that you can download from the internet directly onto your computer) is over 80 pages long. It doesn’t just explain the diet and how you can lose weight, but also how you can enjoy very tasty recipes, make sure that you get enough vitamin intake and how to construct a healthy exercise plan so that you are not just going to be counting calories or going through the motions as so many diet plans make you do.

At the time of writing, this incredible book was only USD $37 – a very cheap and easy way to get that “diet” that you have always wanted to work, to actually work.

Easy Weight Loss With FatLoss4Idiots

Fat Loss 4 Idiots have been around for quite a while now. You may have noticed their famous slogan “lose 9 lbs in 11 days” and thought “no chance”, or even something stronger!

But they have something different to offer from most other diet regimes. Their main system is based around a diet principle called “calorie shifting”. Have you noticed that it is practically impossible to lose weight on a “starvation” diet? Even on a normal diet, there is often an initial weight loss followed by … nothing, zero, zilch. This is because the body can anticipate how many calories that it is likely to receive in the near future and can therefore actually regulate how many calories it is going to burn right now – today.

It is a somewhat incredible concept, but it has been proven to be true. How many times have you or someone that you know tried to lose weight by just cutting down on the amount of food eaten? How many times has that person lost weight for the first few days or weeks even (if they were lucky) and then had their weight loss stop completely? What has happened is that the body has accepted the reduced calorie intake initially with the result that some weight has been lost. But then the body has worked out that this reduction in calories is actually permanent – it has detected a trend. As part of the body’s self-defence mechanism, it has then actually reduced the number of calories that it uses per day to ensure that there is a reserve available for emergencies. It is this reduction in the daily consumption that has caused the weight loss to stop. Fortunately, there is an answer to this problem – a way to outwit the body and to confuse it (harmlessly).

All foods have calories in them. By varying the calorie intake in a specific way, it is possible to prevent the body from detecting any patterns in the calorie intake. This means that the body cannot predict what food it is likely to receive in the near future and therefore it cannot reduce the calorie burn-off to a specific level. So by changing or shifting the calories eaten, it is still possible to lose weight – hence the term calorie shifting.

This shifting of calories can be obtained using one of two methods. The easiest is by using the Diet Generator that is provided online. Only one payment is required to gain ever-lasting access to this system which creates an 11-day menu literally at the press of a button. This menu is based on the foods that you select from two lists provided by the system. There is a short video on using the diet generator system.

The other method is to download the handbook which provides information on how to achieve the same effect, although not as rapidly. Topics include such things as the rotation of the required food types, beverages, the disadvantages of intensive exercise, restaurant eating and water retention.

Whichever method you chose, calorie shifting is one of the easiest and cheapest dieting methods available today.

The Craving Control Diet

It’s tough enough to diet, but food cravings are one of the things that can really sabotage a diet. How can you get craving controls so that you can stay on your diet and lose the weight that you need to?

Fortunately, there is a way. Actually, the right foods can help you lose weight and keep you healthy too. And you don’t need to use appetite suppressant or dangerous drugs that can harm your health either.

Low-calorie diets actually make you fatter. Sounds funny, doesn’t it? But actually, it is true that very low-calorie diets can make you GAIN weight, not lose it. It does this through two things. First of all, we have a metabolism. That metabolism burns calories for you and keeps your body functioning at optimal levels by turning the food you eat into energy. However, there is a problem when you eat too few calories. Your body thinks that you are starving. It thinks that you need to conserve energy to get through this self-imposed famine you are on, so suddenly, your metabolism drops.

That’s not all, though. When you diet to an extreme level so that you are not ingesting enough calories to keep your metabolism clipping along at it’s normal pace, you also begin to dream about food because you are so hungry. This is another built-in survival mechanism, just as the metabolism drop is. Eventually, you are going to need to eat. And the likelihood is that you will reach for fatty, creamy, sweet foods to satisfy your hunger quickly.

But even though you have started your diet, there is a problem. Your metabolism has already dropped. Now, it is used to the fact that you are getting fewer calories. Guess what happens next? Right – you gain weight. You gain weight because even though you are eating fewer calories than you were previously, your metabolism is even lower. That means that you do not burn off the calories properly and you gain weight. But it is not your fault. It is the diet that is making you gain weight, not your own behavior. And there is something that you can do about it.

There is a way to stop this vicious cycle. Instead of coming out of every diet 5 to 8 pounds fatter as statistics show happens to a lot of people, you can live a lifestyle where you are always satisfied and never hungry, and yet you will lose weight.

Do not go low fat. Low-fat diets can make you crave sugar and have obsessions with food. That is despite popular press claims to the contrary. This approach was popular once but it has never worked. In fact it was proven to be false 91 years ago. Yet many people still seem to follow this flawed advice.

Stop eating foods that cause obesity. There are many foods that cause obesity, such as high sugar low-fat foods. Stop eating them. However, you won’t have to go hungry and in fact you will not have a craving for them either. Instead, you will fuel your diet with healthy foods that can help you lose weight and best of all, give your body the nutrition that it needs so that you won’t have cravings you can’t ignore.

Control your cravings by controlling your appetite naturally. This means, do not be hungry. If you are not hungry, you will not crave foods that you should not have. The right combination of foods gives your body the nutrition that it needs, along with powerful antioxidants to boost your immune system and help you stave off cancer. They can even help correct insulin resistance, which can lead to diabetes and coronary disease. And they can help you fight depression, increase energy and balance your hormones.

Even better, though, your metabolism will be cranked up so that you lose weight more quickly. Your metabolic patterns will be altered so that you don’t store excess fat, but instead, burn it off. You will also build muscle, which will further burn fat.

Best of all, you don’t have to count calories, You do not have to fight hunger. You simply eat the way the diet tells you to. Control your food cravings and diet successfully for only USD $14.95 with The Craving Control Diet ebook.

The Easy-Does-It Diet

This is nothing like other diets, including the long-time popular Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig. To start with, this diet meal plan is a whole lot cheaper. The Easy-Does-It Diet comes with a complete book of easy healthy recipes and teaches you everything you need to know about diet meal planning. One part of the book discusses the problems with highly processed foods and the harm that they can do to your body.

We are all aware that foods made with white flour and sugar are not good for our body’s on a daily basis, but this book goes one step further and shows in clear pictures why an abundance of these foods are harmful in the long-term.  The great part about the book is that it’s an e-book, which means that you can download it from the internet and start preparing your diet meals that same day.  Compared to cookbooks in your local bookstore, the price is relatively inexpensive as well.

This easy diet uses healthy recipes with no special foods to buy and no expensive diet meals. You are just going to prepare easy family meals that are good for you and your family.

With every diet, there are pros and cons.  Fortunately, with this diet meal plan, the pros far outweigh the cons.  The biggest thing in its favor is the fact that you can find all the food you need in your local grocery store.

While you are choosing the foods to prepare your diet meals, remember that fresh is always best. However this may not always be feasible as the time of the season and the region you live in also affects when you can get fresh fruits and vegetables reasonably priced. If you cannot get fresh foods and vegetables to meet your budget, the Easy Does It Diet allows for frozen and canned foods in moderation.

You can save money by making meals ahead of time by preparing easy to cook dinners and lunches once a month, and then freezing them for later use.  The portions are just the right size.  The author uses a lot of veggies in his recipes and the only real downside is that if you work in a place where there is no microwave in the lunchroom you might have a problem.  Aside from that, the diet meals are easy to use.

There are four easy does it diet steps:

1. Spend a couple of hours one afternoon, evening or even one morning preparing individual sized servings and freezing them.

2.  Grab one of the meals from the fridge in the morning on your way to work, so you can heat it up to eat in just 5 minutes in the microwave.

3.  If you don’t want to cook dinner, then take one out of the fridge, and you have dinner on the table in five short minutes with no messy pots and pans to wash.

4.  For a switch, you can have a salad for lunch instead of a frozen meal.

The Easy Does It Diet Plan will not only save you a load of cash, but it will get you and your family eating healthily in no time at all. With healthy eating, weight loss follows naturally.

The Rave Diet

The RAVE diet is actually an acronym for no Refined foods, no Animal foods, no Vegetable oils, and no Exception or exercise. This is not so much a diet designed for quick weight loss as it is a healthy lifestyle change in eating habits that will improve your overall health, particularly cardiovascular. A book and instructional DVD are included for optimum results. The book contains diet menu plans for a heart healthy diet. There are rules for meal preparation, a substitution guide, sample recipes, as well as a lot of information about the role that diet plays in heart disease and cancer.

The 88-minute DVD that accompanies the book is appropriately titled “Eating”. It contains interviews with renowned physicians, as well as vital information on how our diet can directly affect cardiovascular health. The RAVE diet has actually been known to reverse heart disease in a number of individuals! The book and DVD together only cost USD $19.95, which is very affordable for a diet plan.

The RAVE diet is relatively flexible and even contains a transition plan so that you can gradually adjust your tastes to a healthier diet. Some of the primary tips or ideas behind the RAVE diet are to always eat whole foods that are as close to their natural state as possible and to eat most of your food uncooked, without dips or toppings. You should eat a variety of colorful foods. For example, a salad is an ideal meal. You should never cook with salt and avoid packaged snack foods. Water should be your primary beverage. You should take a multivitamin daily as well as a tablespoon of ground flaxseed.

Lest you be concerned that your heart healthy diet will be bland, the book contains great substitute information for seasonings, sauces, sweeteners, oils, salad dressings and condiments. There are healthy ways to make your food tasty. The book claims that if you follow these guidelines by shunning refined and animal foods as well as vegetable oils, you can be on your way to preventing or reversing degenerative diseases within 21 days!

Unlike other quick weight loss diets that are popular today, the RAVE diet encourages getting healthy first and foremost. Naturally weight loss will probably also occur, perhaps even drastic weight loss, but the focus is on a heart healthy diet.

Negative Calorie Diet

The Negative Calorie Diet is based on the principle that you are going to be eating foods that have negative calories. It is a pretty easy concept. You may think that all foods have calories, right? Wrong! There are some foods that contain very little calories at all. The thing that many people get confused with is that most foods have some calories. But, all foods require the body to provide some energy to burn them, and that is where the negative calories come in.

If a certain food requires more of the body’s energy to consume it than the food produces, then that food will turn out to have a calorie deficit or to be a negative calorie food. These foods can help you lose weight. So say for example, you eat something that is 65 calories. Once your body burns off those 65 calories, you will have actually eaten zero calories. So, you can eat as many negative foods as you want in the negative calorie diet, and not only will you not gain weight, but you will actually lose weight.

Something else that should be considered on the negative calorie diet is the way you cook your food. Believe it or not, cooking can actually add calories to your food. For example, if you fry your vegetables in butter, the butter will add not only calories but fat, too. If you want the best nutritional value, eat the vegetables raw. If you must cook them, try boiling, steaming or cooking them in a frying pan with nonfat cooking spray.

What are negative calorie foods? This ebook identifies around 22 vegetables including Carrots, Broccoli, Radishes and Cabbages and some 19 fruits including Papayas, Grapefruit, Strawberries and Oranges.

Does all this mean that you will never have to get on a treadmill again? Of course not. As with any other diet on the market today, healthy eating and exercise go hand in hand. Any time you move your body, you are burning calories. It doesn’t matter what you are doing: washing dishes, running or washing the car. You are burning calories.

When you eat and your food is digesting, you are also burning calories. Each of us is different, but on the average, people burn 5% to 15% of their total daily calorie intake from just digesting their foods. This is an amazing statistic.

Let’s do an easy calculation here. Stick with me for a minute. Your body consumes 2500 calories a day roughly. You exercise an hour a day so your body only requires 2000 calories to maintain your current weight. With those numbers, you are actually consuming 500 more calories each day than you need. After 7 days that amounts to 3500 calories. Since 3500 calories is equivalent to a pound, you are actually gaining one pound a week.

Now, factor in your digestion which is burning 125 calories. Take those 125 calories away from the 500 extra calories and you would end up cutting the extra calories to 375 a day. But even with those extra 375 calories, you are still going to gain that extra pound, but it will take 2 days longer. If you consume 2500 calories a day minus 10% of your daily intake, that would equal 250 calories being burned during digestion each day. It will take you two weeks to gain that same pound.

What does this all mean? The average person eating average foods is going to slowly put on weight. This is where you need to increase your consumption of negative calorie foods and where better to find out how, than with the Negative Calorie Diet ebook. Download it onto your computer now and get started immediately.
